Learn more about how LoRaWAN works

The case studies section is where you will find plenty of examples of how different places, organisations and communities are using the Internet of Things to make a positive difference. Whether it is tracking shipping containers or tackling social isolation, making offices smarter or improving the crop yield for farmers, counting footfall at an exhibition, or helping women students feel safer walking home at night – there will be something to show how the Internet of Things could work for you.

You will also find plenty of resources to help you get started. We will also be running a series of workshops in the coming months to show you exactly how easy it is to get started, and how to get your first “thing” on the Internet!

Monitoring Heating Conditions

A proof of concept project to provide a consolidated view of buildings in an estate to monitor the environmental and heating conditions with plans to analyse and optimise the buildings conditions.

Winter Gritting

Norfolk County Council embedded temperature monitoring sensors in some of Norfolk's road surfaces to determine whether the town could be treated less than currently, saving salt, fuel and driver time; but maintaining safety.

Creative Computing Club

The Creative  Computing Club has a considerable experience running projects with LoRaWAN and was one of the first LoRaWAN Gateways in Ipswich. Allowing early adopters to connect and build projects to raise awareness of its capabilities.
